Keep your horse smiling.

As states begin to alter and/or change their practice acts, you may not be aware of the changes implemented on your behalf.  When the equine dental technician that you have been using for a number of years is issued a Cease & Desist order, they may need your help with legal challenges in your state.

Changes in some State Practice Acts affects the horse owner’s

Right - to - Choose

In some states veterinary medical boards together with state legislators are making the decision for the horse owner, regarding who can provide health care for their horse.  These decisions are made by the animal health care providers in an effort to protect the animal owner from illegitimate, unqualified practitioners in the area of horse dentistry as well as alternative medicines.

Instead of solving illegitimacies through licensure, these efforts are shutting down the qualified equine dental technician as well.  With a track record of being shunned by some of the members of the veterinary medical community, the equine dental technician or Lay Dental technician in some instances, are battling for survival along with the horses they serve.

Horse owners can make a difference by letting their state representatives know how they feel about these as well as other issues.  This can be done via the internet by visiting:
